February 16, the development team of “Wine (Wine Is Not an Emulator)”, Windows API implementation to run Windows applications on Linux and BSD-based OS, announced the latest stable release “Wine 5.2”.

February 14, NetBSD development team announced the latest major release “NetBSD 9.0”.  It includes support for AArch64 architecture.

February 11, the development team of Istio, a service mesh platform, released the latest stable version “Istio 1.4.4”.

February 10, Apache Groovy team released Apache Groovy 3.0.0, a statically typed, dynamic language for Java platform.  In this new major release, numerous new features are introduced.

February 8, video editor “OpenShot” project released “OpenShot 2.5.0”.  There are improvements on how well it works with other software, and on data recovery feature.

February 10, Microsoft Research released optimization technology for deep learning.  It helps make distributed model training simple and effective, and it has the ability to train 100 billion parameter model.  

February 13, the development team of Atom, an open-source text editor developed by GitHub, released the latest “Atom 1.44.0”.

February 11, Mozilla released Firefox 73, an open-source web browser.  It now includes a new setting for page zooming.

February 7, the development team of Angular, a JavaScript application framework, released the latest major release Angular 9. There are numerous improvements, including ‘Ivy’ engine by default.
