Wine 5.2 Released, with improved support for UTF-8

February 16, the development team of “Wine (Wine Is Not an Emulator)”, Windows API implementation to run Windows applications on Linux and BSD-based OS, announced the latest stable release “Wine 5.2”.

Wine 5.2 is the second point release of the version 5 series, released in January.  The compatibility of the code page mapping table is improved, and now it supports using null display driver as a real driver.

UTF-8 support within the resources and message compliers is better now, and the issue  that happens when the usingucrtbase as C runtime has been fixed.

They also improved the  behavior of the applications, such as PDF-XChange Viewer, Lineage 2, OllyDbg 2.x., and worked on the implementation of Direct3DShaderValidatorCreate9().  They added many other small bug fixes.
