GCC 9.3 Released, point release with 157 bug fixes

March 12, the development team of GNU compiler Collection (GCC), released ‘GNU Compiler Collection (GCC) version 9.3’. This point release includes 150 bug fixes.

GCC 9.3 is the second point release of the 9th series, released in May 2019. It is the successor of 9.2, which was released in August that year. It introduces 157 fixes since v9.2, for example it fixed multiple bugs that occurred in C++ and FORTRAN, and libstdc++ and optimization related bugs.

GCC has adopted a release cycle to make a major release every year in May. Now the team is working toward the next major release for the 10th series, expected in May 2020.
