DBeaver 7 Released

March 2, the development team of Beaver, a database management tool, announced the latest major release ‘DBeaver 7.0’. Free community version is available on the project website.

DBeaver is a database management tool that supports databases like PostgreSQL, SQLite, Oracle, and DB2, which has JDBC driver. It targets database users such as developers and database managers. As to the Enterprise Edition, it also supports MongoDB, Cassandra, and Redis, which do not use JDBC.

DBeaver 7.0 is the latest major release following version 6, which was released in March 2019. In regards to task management, data transfer, backup-restore, and SQL execution are improved. It fixed the bug which occurred while importing from CSV. It also includes Git integration and support for SSH agents and jump servers.

As to Data viewer and data editor UI, JSON viewer and GIS viewer are added, and now references panel, logical columns and primary/foreign keys are available.

One of the notable changes added to SQL editor is the smart-commit mode. Also with SQL script, it now includes support for multiple scripts and multiple connections, and configuration wizard is renewed.

There are small improvements added to the support of the databases, like Postgre SQL, MySQL, Oracle, SAP HANA, respectively.
