Open Source CMS Drupal 8.8 Released

December 4, the developer team of Drupal announced their latest stable release Drupal 8.8.0. Drupal is open source CMS (Content Management System). There are many feature enhancements, one of which is the stable Media Library module.

Drupal 8.8 is the latest point release of the 8 series, first released in November 2015. The Media Library, which allows assets like images, videos, and documents to be easily reused, is now stable. Up until this release, the module was introduced as a beta feature in the Drupal core. Integrated into content farm, it fits seamlessly to CDEditor. Media can be uploaded from the library, and it can be combined with existing media.

Also, Claro administration theme was introduced to Drupal core as a beta experimental feature. Claro is versatile and clean, having a high degree of affinity with touch screens. Thanks to the improvements added to the Workspaces, now you can define hierarchical workspaces. Workspaces can now be used with Content Moderation module, which makes it possible to save both the live version and the pre-release working copy .

Now that it includes native Composer support, there is no need for using third-party tools. A new Help Topics beta experimental module is task-based, which is more user friendly. There are a lot more detailed improvements and fixes.

Drupal 8.8 is available on the project’s website.
